In the US MacGregor has sold over 6000 X's and M's, and that's about 1 for every 52,000 people. If Hison can manage that level of market penetration in China alone (not including export sales) they'll sell 25,848 boats, or essentially 3.2 times the entire global sales of MacGregor, Inc. for the entire X and M lifetime.
If they go into worldwide sales, which it appears they are, they could easily claim all of southeast Asia, Australia, Middle East, Africa and India. This could easily amount to upwards of 40,000 boats, including the China home market. At a ball-park price of $15,000 per boat (cheaper than MacGregor's $23,000 price) that's over $600,000,000 in gross sales.
Yeah, there's a good reason for them to go fishing.
