There has been one case of the compression post corroding, that I know of. Easy to check. Have a look at the thread here:

I still experience leaking at the chainplates, but have not yet attended to it as the leaking affect has been minimal. This issue has been discussed greatly and is in the archives.
I have had internal-source water leaks... the original collapsible water containers have either leaked thru the fill cap been punctured. I also had a 5 gallon solar shower stored in the bilge under the dinette table that punctured on a fiberglass burr.

, at least the spillage is contained in the head floor pan, and you KNOW where THAT leak originates!

Thanx for the welcome Rich. I am finding this site great and helpful and the people very friendly. I already made a few Mac friends around where I live so that's great and thanx again for the welcome

My biggest water source was the ballast tank plug. The rubber was old, not a good seal, and when filled you would see some water surge out around the plug and into the bilge. I never noticed it because the plug was always covered by the step. Only when I removed the step and was under way with some heel or waves did I notice it.

West Marine - or any place that sells RV parts - has the plug.

Re: Where is the &^%$#! leak coming from?
And in fact, today, I replaced the "bellows" on the Porta-pottie (not too hard) and the hose from the sink to the thru-hull - which was a pain in the a#@ to get to and undo the clamps. The port sink thru-hull appear to be just rudimentary. Definite moisture at the bottom of the bilge (port side, under the galley). Thru hull appeared okay, so I put new hose, clamps and silicone sealant (not 5200 which the salesperson was trying to sell me). The 3M sealant was listed for thru-hulls - and is more flexible than 5200.
Time will tell if it works.

Or it's something else altogether.
