Looking at the solutions to an aggravating situation-opening up the front ballast tank vent from the cockpit. Just found an inexpensive 12 volt 3/4" air valve and think if I use it at the top of a hose going to the anchor storage area, I can hold it open until the tank fills. I guess I can just time how long it takes to fill?
