Is the Forespar 6/12 really up to the job? I see it's recommended for boats up to 22', and then for light use only.

It is, and a whisker pole is for light air use only anyway. It is a bit short fir a 150'Genny but will keep the big sail out in light breeze as designed.

I'll be looking at the Pfeiffer alternative, because Forespar is hard to get in Europe, if not impossible. Choice between a model up to 10 m2 ( is 10.33) or up to 15 m2. I'll probably opt for the latter, since it's a windy country. You all know the famous Dutch windmills...well, they're here for a reason.

That wouldn't be a hard decision at all, but the price difference is less here:

Pfeiffer 1.8 -2.5 up to 10 m2 sail area 170 Euros
Pfeiffer 2.0 -3.8 up to 15 m2 sail area 230 Euros

That's a tough choice. But making the right choice is what sailing is all about, isn't it?
