I ended up using 1/4" utility line on the furler.

I am a bit late to the party but wanted to chime in. I wanted a larger furling line. I went with a quality double braid 5/16" line. Yes, that is too large to fully deploy my 126 genoa. But... I removed about 40" of the inner core at the business end of the line. That allows the line to wrap flat around the FF2 drum for the first few turns. By doing that, my drum is full when the genoa is fully deployed...but not dragging or binding. The larger line is SO much easier on the hands.

You can just get the 150mgenny to fit on the FF2 with the stock line with five wraps left when the sail is tightly furled. More than this and you run out of room, less, and a change in tension on the sail will leave sail out.

Decoring is an excellent solution.
