Hi SlowSL!

I appreciate your taking photos of your foredeck repairs showing the inner structure along side the anchor line locker!
It will help considerably when we get to doing our own modifications up there later for our drum winch and anchor roller modifications.
Seeing how thin the locker wall is a bit of a structural game changer. Better to know now rather than later.

We had been contemplating using the bow rail deck connections and the mountings of two forward cleats to secure a top plate then recess into the anchor line locker to secure the drum from the torque that would be generated. Knowing how thin the locker wall actually is and the other deck related structure now allows us to rethink things before anything has been fabricated.

We have access through the cabin side via two useless (as in we don’t use them) speakers a PO mounted into the flotation chamber surrounding the locker. That would allow us to mount a pair of reinforcement GRP plates under the open deck space alongside the locker and leave the railing alone! :) :) Stronger, Better, Cleaner & Easier! :) :)

The discussion in your thread also has given us the idea to drill a 5 or 6 inch diameter hole through the forward face of the locker wall, any foam and then through the inner forward shell to expose that gawdawful inaccessible forward nook rather than hyper extending blindly from the bottom to access the nuts for the cleats! Afterwards making a simple repair/replacement of the removed pieces with a round watertight hatch for the topside locker seal the hole. This makes it much more doable and functionable than what had been originally conceived!

THANK YOU!!!👍😎😎👍

Best Regards
