That's like 5 people who "want to" in the next year or so. We should plan a year for Macs to meet up. If the puddle ducks can have a year...the Lagunas had a year...even the Mayflys had a year! It'll be a Mac year! 2024: The Year of the Mac! :macm: :macx: :tat26:

Hmmm… this looks intriguing. I’ll add it to the “probably “ list for next year and see how things go.

I'm not registered. I always wait until right before the event...for no good reason at all. I'm about 75% sure I'll have my Mac, but I have to pull out Friday morning to catch a plane Saturday morning.

Hey guys just a heads up I read on the Texas 200 website 71 boats 125 Participants . Should be a fun week of a sailing drama and good times. I believe 3) 26x boats 26 d , 26 s and a 21 venture. The older Macs Will probably sail right past me that’s ok. I will get some video and pics and post them when I can. Ahoy mates

Good luck, post photos, and remember; we are the last to the finish line, and first to the bar.

Texas 200 has a face book page . Here’s a couple pics of my boat with my Mac 26 x with my Hobiecat 16 sails up as high wind sails . Wind for the 1 st three day have been 15 in the morning then 25 knots in the afternoon. Hitting 7 to 9 knot all down wind

My 26 x did not disappoint, finished the Texas 200 . The first 4 days , yes had high wind and great sailing . Day 5 was the best day for me as I followed the puddle duck boats in the back bays thru some very narrow and shallow passes before you get to Madagorda bay . I saw 1 1/2 ft on the chart plotter once 2 /12 ft other times navigating these passages not sure if I would Mack it but wind was still on the stern most of the time and I made thru up to the last camp called the army hole which is a coastal texas state park . I believe the 26 m would have done this as well because you didn’t need the center board down. Any way was a blast

Very nice. What an adventure and you had a perfect boat for it. Is that a hobie 16 sail set?

Yes on the Hobie sails. If you look on the sailing image you can see the jib is anchored where you use the mast raising system point , this fits perfectly for my H16 jib and get the sail closer to the mast alloying the boat point higher up wind when sailing in access of 15 knots and higher winds . I also have an asymmetrical atn sock spin and a 140 hank on Genoa in my arsenal. Though I don’t see light winds to often y Ty o use them.
