new boat

Post by impinnacr »

Wow, this is great! so many good ideas. Now if I can put it all together like I want. I like the air bed idea. Never thought of that. The outboard well has a cheap trim piece that is cracked and I picked up some aluminum molding to repair it with today. I think I am going to get some aluminum plating to use on the transome for mounting the OB too. I had it on my 87 D boat and it worked really well to protect the fiberglass from the motor tightening screws, etc. Its storming outside right now and I am really anxious to get out on the water. Oh well....

impinnacr wrote:Yeah! I just did it! I found a Mac"D", 1989. In very good condition. I purchased it off of ebay just this morning. I have been searching for a boat like this for a long time and it next to impossible to find one that hadn't had a million holes drilled in it and all kinds of personal stuff done to it. So now, I can put my personal touches on it. It is clean, clean clean.
I am very happy!and best thing also..... the wife is happy too!

Congrats! I bid on that boat early but the wife gave me one of those looks (you know the look) when I told her I was bidding on a boat.

From the pictures it looks like a real find.
