Really? I fit 200' of 7/16 and 10' of chain and the FX11 fortress anchor in the locker and it fits quite comfortablly. http://home.comcast.net/~26m/mods/mod1/photo009.html

I too am surprised. I though the M locker was bigger than the X locker.

I fit two complete 150' 3/8" three strand rodes each with 15'+ of chain (one is even oversized chain) in my X locker. It isn't that hard to coil up in the locker as I retrieve the anchor. You just have to pay attention to the twist.

There's even still room for an occasional dock line and my heavy duty mooring buoy line.

I bought 260' of Yale Brait, 3/8". I feel that half-inch is too large for the weight of our boat, but that's just my unsubstantiated 'feeling'.

hmmm... my 3/8" rode is really cheap and stiff 3 strand stuff that the dealer gave me with the boat. It really does not coil well and that was my main attraction to the brait as it is supposed to take up less space. This is good news indeed. Thanks.
