lotsa variety out there to choose from. Only thing I'd personally stay away from would be anything with front wheel drive. ... :|

Afew years back Dodge made a Dakota P/U that the top came down like a convertible.

Cheap is relative but most the old full size convertibles would do it easy and are still easy. . . .so to speak on the pocket.
We had a 63 Ford Galaxy 500 XL Convert. we towed with, and later Dad bought a 65 Buick Electra 225 Convert and it did the job quite well too. I even towed a 18 ft wooden inboard with my 49 Buick Roadmaster convert. Wish I still had that . . .I could trade it for a house in Highland Park :)
I just did a quick peek on E-Bay and there are lots of full size Convert's for sale within 250 miles of my house (60185) for under $17K buy it now price. . .

I am NOT putting a trailer hitch on my 2001 Eclipse Spyder! :evil:

Last week, though, at the marina near my office, a fellow came in to ask about ramp fees ... he was driving a late model Jaguar convertible, and when he pulled away we were astonished out of our beers to see a hitch ball on that! :o
