Hello Hans,
Welcome to the group. The bimini issue with the stern rail seats is something I had to deal with. We got the bimini as a dealer option. It mounts on the genoa tracks and worked fine. Then the Admiral made me add the stern seats. I told her the bimini would be in our laps when it was down but she said put them on and we'll figure something out later. So I put them on and love them and did figure out a solution.
To deal with the bimini I put a short line in the middle of each life line (port and starboard). Each line has a clip on it so we can stow the bimini vertically by wrapping the lines around the folded up bimini posts and clipping it to the life line. To keep the short lines from sliding on the lifelines I had to use several half hitches and there may be better ways, but the concept seems to work well. I could take some photos if you like.

insurance woes
Mike C
I insure my boat to the hilt (paid cash for my M last July) but insure it against loss accident or otherwise. Cost me 350 bucks from Drive insurance. Actually, I went to St. Cloud Insurance office right there on New York Ave, just a crows fly from you.
I have a MAC 25 moored in the St. Cloud boat basin on East Lake. It is slip #20 right across from the outdoor dining area of Crabby Bills restaurant. It is Ivory deck and Rustic Red hull, if you ever get over that a way. I also own a 2007 MAC M which I will replace the MAC25 when I put it up for sale soon.
So are you going to see a private owner or a dealer for your MAC? Just wondering.

I have a 26M with stern rail seats, and a bimini. The bimini is from Blue Water Yachts
http://www.bwyachts.com/
It's made specifically for the stern rail seat option.
Because it has to rise in the rear to accomodate the seats, you will have to adjust until it clears the boom easily.
Install is easy andBWY is very helpful if you have a problem during the process.
Have fun!!

She is here - sitting right next to my house, mast is up for the first time and everything sees to be o.k. The delivery guy, an employee from supersail was very nice and helpful. But I never saw a boat with so many bugs on it -but well, it came 1750 miles down the highway to Fl! Took pictures, but I guess I posted too many already and everybody on this board knows what a 26M looks like.....

The Suzi-70 could handle a 12 or 13 pitch when brand new. However, as the boat gets loaded up and the hull gets dirty, the 11-pitch will be just about ideal.Loefflerh wrote:Just called the dealer, I completely forgot to think about the prop - he put a 14x11 on the suzuki 70 4stroke - is that an acceptable choice or do I have to change it?

Based on this info:
DF70 Specifications
Model Name: DF70TL
Horse Power: 70
Shaft: 20
Displacement: 79.2 cu. in. (1298 cc)
Weight: 357
Cylinders: I-4
Ignition: Solid State Electronic Ignition
Bore X Stroke: 2.91 x 2.97 in. (74 x 75.5 mm)
RPM Range: 5200-5800
Maximum RPM: 5800
Starter: E Start w/ Suzuki EFI
Oil Tank Capacity: 4.23 qt. (4.0 lit.)
Alternator: 12V 25A
Trim Position: Power Trim
Fuel: Unleaded
Gear Ratio: 2.42:1
Drive Train Protection: Spline Drive Rubber Hub
Standard Propeller: Optional
Available Prop Pitches: 11-26
Steering: Remote
I would say the 14x11 is perfect. I am basing this in my experience with my Merc 75 4s that is similar to your 70, but is a 1596cc and has a spec range of 4500-5500. With a 14x13 I can only hit 4500 loaded. So I figure if you had a 14x13, you would not hit the required engine spec and harm your engine.
Cheers
