WOW!
Those orcas are breathtaking! We are going there in two weeks. Hope to see something like that.
Thanks dive4it also for your detailed trip reports. I will be relying on your info crusing the SJ.

Hey Vitger, hit me up anytime if you have any questions on places to go, places to stay around the San Juans....I've been going there for years as a commercial diver but I'm really getting to know it now as a cruiser as well. I can make some good suggestions if you'd like. Let me know how many days you plan to spend up there and what you want to see (I'm feeling like a bit of an expert about the area but still have tons to learn as well I'm sure).

I'm calling photo violation. The angle on those shrouds ID them as a Macintosh, not a Macgregor.

Someone needs to depth charge that red submarine...or at least insist that it's yellow...

Diver 70,
When were you at the Benjamins? We were there in July with the Trailer Sailors!
The North Channel is fantastic!! I've never spent a better week on a boat.
I did see a 26M in Gore Bay Marina.

Tim, we were just about a mile past Hanbury point heading south from Roche Harbor. Yeah, we hear the spray and actually got hit by some of the mist. What a cool experience.

At Canyon Lake, Arizona in September, swam to the shore to snap this, removed the rigging for summer motoring in the 100+
degree heat.
