This is the way to go down a long grade: When you start down, put the transmission in "Georgia Overdrive" ( that's out of gear for you non-truckers) If you get to going too fast just ease over and let the boat drag against the mountain....that will slow you down quick...if that don't work, pull into one of the runaway gravel pits..... then take pictures. I would like to have a copy for my desk top background

PS: Down hill grades are one of those "damned if I do and damned if I don't" situations. If you go too slow you create a hazard because some idiot is trying to pass you and if you go too fast, you are the idiot. Good luck to all.

More info would be helpful.
Something like this?
Electric over hydraulic uses an electric pump, instead of the conventional master cylinder, to put pressure on the hydraulic brakes. It works with a control widget up in the tow vehicle, which is part of the wiring of a 7-pole trailer connector on many newer SUVs and light trucks. Advantage is that you can "dial in" some trailer braking, when you're going downhill in "Georgia overdrive"; it can also help you keep the tail from wagging the dog, in adverse driving conditions. Disadvantage is extra cost and complexity - I'd like to know where Cbig found an electric over hydraulic conversion for about $125 less than the one I've pictured.
That looks close. I think it said Dexter on it but at my local Dycorp trailer parts store. Might have been a sale item. You will also need a prodigy or other controller for the vehicle. Prodigies work real nice for my older camp trailers.
