Let me get this straight? You were sailing and filming from the bowsprit?
That takes some serious guts!

About the sailing ability, the Edge uses 50% more hp to get less speed! Mac has a rotating mast to get more pwer from its sails and a much lower drag hull. Now just how do i know that? Hull on the edge is a close copy of our old M-19. We changed it to the X for more sailing performance. We then changed it again to the M for even more. Hunter copied our powersailor idea, they just copied the first powersailor. Should have copied the X or even better the M. Same thing with the water ballasted boat, copies are not as clean as the original. By the way, has anyone seen a 2011 Edge, I don't think so. Maybe, I'm just saying. Last boat show we were showing a brand new 2011 and the Edge was an older "demo".

The one I saw last week at the Boat Show looked pretty new; I used to have a

and believe me, this was not the same boat, or the same hull. The chine is different for a start, the belly and beam are far far wider, and the Edge appears to have a "hook" just in front of the wheel

Ok Highlander this is probably a "Moot" point but after viewing your awesome videos you posted here and in my email I see you have totally missed the mark.

To be a sleeper you need to be covert in your mods.

Yours are way to professional in appearance and lack a total discreetness that a true Redneck would use in order to make his fast boat look like a slug.

In fact your mods make your boat look to much like a Porsche on water.

In your mods I saw no rough cut good old boy Wal-Mart Cutting Board styles, exposed PVC pipe with blue glue joints showing anywhere, or most importantly where is the duct tape

So as much as you may want me to be "Mute" about your total ineptness of proper demonstrating highly classified Redneck stealth skills in building a sleeper, I have to do my Redneck duty and insure that others on the site are not misinformed.

Now feel free to keep sending my your latest videos so I can properly give you constructive criticism in staying abreast of the latest Redneck fads.

- no it
won't - I shipped mine from Dubai to Hong Kong, and you need a Hi-top container (and don't expect
any guidance from the factory on how to go about getting it in)
Perhaps you should sue the factory for false advertising? I don't think that that will work though, as they manage to do just this very thing on a regular basis and many others have as well.

Unless your

is very different from the thousands of others, you might have done something wrong.

Did you remove the springs and axles? Perhaps this would lower it enough for a standard container? Or, I could be all wet, as I have never shipped an

,

, or any other boat for that matter. Just going by the factory info and what I read here from Philip, José and others.

@Hamin
Axle off, mast crutch down, you still need a Hi-Top. Try it some time.
It's the same price as a regular container, unless you order the regular one first and then have to pay a restock charge for changing it. I think you'll find that new Mac's are shipped on sleds not their trailers

But Magnet isn't that just how they ship many of them here... coast to coast .....border to border ??I think there is even a picture to be had somewhere IIRC???? But maybe they do ship all the macs on sleds?? I'll give Bill @ Boats 4 Sale .....MY HERO : ) a call if I get the time..

Could you leave the axle on with a Hi-Top milvan? If you could and there is no added expense for a Hi-Top then I think the discussion stops there.

The Edge hull I believe in the pic's I was looking at from Andy's post & the one I seen @ the boat show has a flat bottom like the X with intrunded hard chines
The

hull has 17deg deadrise V-Hull with hard chines a completely differnt beast !

I never heard of the S yachts until I started reading this thread. After checking out the company's web site, I think I may start saving for a 950

now I found this very interesting swing keel set-up
http://www.steynor-keel.co.uk/index.php ... scription/
was wondering how mutch it would weigh now this could be inserted into an M or X I think leaving it extended down say 3"-4" for a nice center skeg would help in following see's & powering slow in windy days in marina's
