Wow, you have more guts than me. I am new to sailing too. The first weekend I just motored, practiced anchoring and used it for a cabin. I put the mast up while it is on the trailer. If I plan on going under the bridge to the big lake I leave the mast raiser attached. I have a Boom/Boom=less sail so I don't
currently use the boom on the main. I like it better without. Did have a problem with loading on the trailer the first weekend but added the Boat guide on bunker mod and that solved the problem. Congratulations on sticking with it. I think the fun factor will keep going up: D

The rubber caps on my stock guide posts were bad from when I first took delivery and I tried looking at all the mods for them. Sometimes when a launch ramp is deep the stock pipes will be very hard to spot so I settled for 4' PVC - 1 1/2" that was a tight fit on the curve of the originals and touched the black rub rail on the boat. When both touch the hull is lined up!
