I actually clicked on the link and had to look several times to see if the kid in the middle had snapped his wrist
Didn't look so happy.

X2--Sailing to an up wind destination at 4-5 knts, completing perfect tacks, will probably average less than 2 knts compared to motoring in a straight line. Single handing with a non-sailing wife will not be fun for anyoneObelix wrote:Well put, prishi![]()

1) I suggest both of you enroll in a sailing class and decide if sailing is going to work.
2) If you decide to buy a sailing yacht, go for one with the biggest outboard--90+ to get 25 knts wfo. You can motor up wind at 25 and sail down wind at 5-6.
When my wife lost interest in yacht racing, I sold my Capri 25 and bought a used X. When she is on the boat and gets tired of working the lines, I drop the main, motor up wind with my Etec-60 and cruise back down on a deep reach=best of both worlds
Good luck,
Bob

Are you selling Sailing Classes or Trignometry Classes? Could I suggest "Reading between-the-line Classes?bscott wrote:X2--Sailing to an up wind destination at 4-5 knts, completing perfect tacks, will probably average less than 2 knts compared to motoring in a straight line.
