Perhaps I need to explain what a tack is?

Imagine what a 90 degree tack is. Now add on 10 degrees. Which direction are you going?

Your 60 degree tack is actually 120 degrees. :D

"Tacking through N degrees" is usually reported as the full angle as Phil posts...that's a nice track though Roger and 60/120 is darn good or main only on any powersailor...

Yeah, sorry. I know what a tack is. I did 24 of them on that return trip. Just got the math wrong. 120 degrees is correct.

I was on single reefed main and about 80% jib (roller furled).
