I've got a Magma which works great even in a breeze mounted on the stern rail like many of you but I fuel it from a 5 gal composite LPG tank mounted in the corner of back deck, this tank also supplies my on demand water heater and Dickenson cabin heater. The Magma is in my opinion well made, from the rail clamp (which held through a 3' swell from a gigantic houseboat on Lake Powell-lost the fork but not the grill) to the opening handle which stays cool while operating. You'll be happy as long as your not hungry.

From time to time the subject of gas grills come up. This thread is two years old. I recently saw this, an actuall comparison between different marine grills. I thought it might be of help to those who don't have a grill, but are thinking about purchasing one.

I have Sports BBQ Extreme. I just bought my second one last month...it appears to be an improvement over the previous model with better and larger cover too. My first one lasted for 10 years and still works great...the igniter knob did break off 2 years ago so I turned it on using pliers...I wanted a shiny new one and I lost the drip tray overboard last year ... these were the main reasons for replacing it.
I drilled a hole in the new drip tray and secured it to the BBQ with some aircraft cable. I see the new model has a Korean BBQ feature too so am looking forward to grilling a few prawns:-)
The main reason why I like it is because it doubles as a regular stove plate too so no need to cook inside the cabin.
