I hope someone will have a video cam or Go Pro to make a great video on the trip along with the how to's on the process. Give me something like that, I will study it and do it again next Christmas!

We will have a gopro but will have to learn how to post on a photo site so everyone can enjoy them.

If we have the fun I expect we will have we will probably join up and go again with ya.

I am in the process of reading your adventure and find it hard to stop to get other things done as you write so well. We would certainly enjoy your company in May if you find that you just can't stay behind. :D
Thanks for posting this wonderful adventure.

Got room in the driveway and the ramp is within walking distance. Price is right Free! Let me know if you are interested.

I would love to go, but I got Turkey Day off from work this year, so that means I am working over Christmas and New Years.

As tempted as I am to join Ron and the others on this cruise (and I'm not ruling it out yet either) , I think Dave had the right idea in taking 6 months to explore the Bahamas. Now 3 weeks might be acceptible but particularly with weather windows and that sort of thing, I wouldn't want to do it in less than 2 weeks....and to really enjoy it properly...multiple months...like November thru May 8) but that will have to wait until after retirement which is still some years away for me.

Dimitri,
There have been several Mac. X's along with the MacS and D that have cruised the Bahamas in length.
There is no since to cross the 58 KN to Bimini and cruise that area as Entry fees, passport is just to expensive for a 2 week stay.
One is better off Cruising Biscayne Bay in Cristal Clear Waters.
Conch Cruisers use to do it. Their site is not open.
I am still a member but it shut down. Before it shut down there were many info trips in the Bahamas.
I still have web sites of Mac's who have made the trip.
Few of those could shum in as I don't want to mention boat names or persons who made the trips, without there ok.

The dates are set. So anyone wanting to travel all or part way with us set your calandars. I just got the word that I will have May 4-24 off so we will be traveling and last minute provisioning May 2-4. :D
Can't wait for those sunny skies. 8) 8) 8)

Sea Wind,

Another option to consider. Your boat and towbeast... I will rent a nice minivan for the wife and kids. I sold my mac last summer, quite easily I should add. After 5 years I was very disheartened at the amount of work done to her.
I traded my tow beast in for a mustang with land bimini.
Food for thought.

Good alternative. Will start in-house negotiations when the New Year arrives.
However, I will not be able to stay for all 3 weeks, are there other Macs joining Capt. Ron for a shorter period of time? say a week or two?
