We had to disassemble the cam cleat to get my toe out and I think it took about three days to clean the blood off of the deck. We laugh now when I remove my socks, but it wasn't funny then! Wear closed toe shoes of whatever brand you like.
OMG THAT must-a-hurt-like-a-sob&$#@%¥£€§
:o :? !!! Owwie…Owwie…Owwie!!! :? :o
Sorry but if that was my toe the shade would have been a really deep blue with a strong tinge of indigo with a strong vermilion hue!!!

About the only place I go barefoot is inside the house or when swimming. :D :D
OMG it makes me wince just thinking about it… sheesh! :?

Glad you didn’t lose it altogether!

The Admiral wears slip on white sole narrow ribbed rubber sole mesh side “beach” shoes 👟 from Walmart. They last a season before the soles harden up and then they are replaced.

I wear hybrid soft non-marring rubber soled “sandals ” with enclosed toes & web straps to secure them so they don’t slip off too easily but can if/when they have too and are replaced at the beginning of the season. (I hate banging toes :? , especially as mobility, dexterity and grace are long gone from my self descriptive vocabulary :D :D .

Best Regards
