Is the plastic tracking that hides the wire just Panduit that was applied with silicone ?
Also what did you use for the 90 degree for the wire to enter the boat? Panduit again?
(Panduit.. ie cable track)

Thanks

Hi AD

yes it is 10mmx15mm panduit as you call it , i used 3M 5200 adhesive , its like silicon but much stronger. The top where the cable enters the boat is a cable entry cap that is available for most marine shops, normally used for the VHF antenae cable entry.

Hope that helps

KiwiMac,

You probably are aware of a variety of 3M products, but I’m mentioning this anyway.

3M4200 is designed to be used when you need strong adhesion, but it can be removed if a change is needed, or a correction needs to be made. 3M5200 designed to be permanent. If you are aware of the distinctions, never mind. If you aren’t, I hope this helps future projects

Hi Ray

Herein NZ we only have 3M 5200 permanat adhesive and 4000 sealant , the 4000 sealant is UV stabelised and used for external use.
our 4000 must be similar to your 4200.
