A very interesting web site. Incidentally, departure date appears to be 1-1-08 from Florida.
Edit Add: The amazing thing is that Ms Neill grew up with boats, but she has no significant sailing experience other than recent lessons.

There is a story of a guy from England who decided in the 1960's to sail from England to Newfoundland in a 20ft bilge keel. He made the trip single handed.
Once in Newfoundland, he thought it an ideal place to set up a sailing school and charter business. He was an experienced sailor.
He brought his wife and young family over to Newfoundland and then went back to England again and bought a second boat and set off along with another sailor. They were never seen again.
Yes, he was an experienced sailor, but the North Atlantic or any other large ocean expanse is a risky venture especially in a 20ft boat and with an inexperienced skipper.
I wish her all the luck, she will need it
