A friend of mine just moved to Cape Coral from Oregon. It's been a dream of his for a long time, to have a boat on a canal right behind his house. Of course, his dream doesn't include hurricanes.

Tell him ..come on down! I moved here 18 yrs ago from Cape Cod , Ma. to avoid Hurricanes and cold, Charlie was only a rare Hurricane , winds only 85 max. here. You won't see another storm here with winds over 75 mph in my life time!

I usually Launch at the Cape Coral Yacht Club, if it was last Sun. you saw bare Poles it was I awaiting for new headstay and had ants in pants just to get out on the water even if I had to motor.
We do a lot of Cruseing with the WCTSS and have a march 3 day cruise the 16th at Cayo Costa. E-mail me if you want to go along.

PS, I bought the boat a Mo. ago from a guy who lives in the SE of Cape Coral who had it on a lift.

I bought a 6 qt pressure cooker and cooked 7 potatoes in 6 min. Time is after water started to boil and they were cooked perfectly with 1/2 cup of H20. Definitely going to be part of boat inventory.
