The last three posts describe exactly why i bought my boat without the admiral. I cut right through all of that hully Baloo and brought home a beautiful - very much faster blue hull mac...

I wouldnt try to winch someone up from the mast on the side of the Mac, too tippy - remember 150# at the top of the mast lays the boat down on her side...
We attach a snatch block to the end of the boom and haul the MOB up over the transom with the winch - no need to get a 4:1 out there, just put the snatch block right on to the Lifesling line and snap it the boom.

Re: Making Memories with our Mac.
Made some great memories with my M model sunday.Cut through Carolina Beach inlet
out to sea..Waves were cranking from bertha. The boat jumped one of the waves.
The huge boats were having more problems than me it looked like..
Coming back in she didn't have much control as the waves caught
up to her..The channel is narrow..The army is out there dredging.
Not much room to loose control like she was..
No big deal because it's not long before the wave rides
underneath you & then you gain more control.
The boat sails great..

Thought I might share a couple more memories. It's hard at the top if you are the admiral!

Some days are just picture perfect. Winter on the Gippsland Lakes.

Cheers Nick

Nick, I love it.
What the admiral is doing in your pic. I’m sort of doing right now as I type. I’m just hanging out at the dock surfing the net with my broadband laptop. It’s a nice cool breezy day and I think Ill go for a sail in a little while but for right now I think ill just take a lil nap.
