Hi RobertB,

Welcome aboard. I am one of the guys that was there when you came in Sunday night...the one who's mast didn't come down... 8) I imagine Tony (the one who's mast did come down) will be repaired and back out on the water soon.

You have a real nice boat. Lots of great mods. When you become a little more familar with the board/forum I am sure that some of your mods/upgrades will be of interest to others here so please consider taking some pics and telling us all about the things you have done.

Hope to see you again some day at Sandy Pt State Park Marina...I think that will become a regular "drop in" spot for me for any trip I take heading towards Baltimore.

Cheers,
Jim

:macm: I'm on the road again but I spoke with a professional welder that thinks he can rebuild the base of the mast. I'm waiting for him to find time in his schedule. I will post pictures when it's done. I hope to take this time to add an up/dn hylard and a main reef line back to the cockpit. So I'm looking for info and pics on that.

:macm: My neighbor finished welding the base of my mast the other day. I think he did a great job. I will try and upload pictures. He filled in all the ripped out aluminum and I added an internal tube between the bolt holes for added support that he welded in place too. I painted the bottom because all the anodizing had been removed, but I think it’s as good as new.
I added a hound to the top of the mast for an additional forestay and most importantly purchased the large head pin with the ring-ding (from BWY) for my roller furlering jib.
I hope to day I can finish putting everything back together before leave for my work trip. I look forward to more sailing fun and less excitement.ImageImageImage

Tony,

Glad to hear things are almost back to normal. Let me know when you will be on the water and I will make my way up your way...I will probably drag DJ along with me.

I will be out this weekend (probably Sunday)...not able to get out next weekend...but doing a 2-nighter (launching late Fri recovering late Sun) the following weekend (when the wife is away Admiral Jim will take König out to play... 8) )

Did you get my email about the JMGT? Hope you can find time to go.

Cheers,
Jim

P.S. -- Need to figure out what is happening with your photobucket links...the pics are very small. Are you copying the "img" code and pasting it into your post on the forum?
