I also use four of those auger style ground anchors. But I just use my dock lines to tie down the boat. Nice and tight and will keep the boat from moving in big winds...doubt it would survive a close hit by a hurricane but it will keep it from rocking in high winds.

If the big one comes near my plan is to tow Wind Song behind us when we leave. I figure it'll give us a place to "live" until we can come home.
