Sorry for chiming in so late on the "Sailing Anarchy" thread but do the posters and Mac bashers on that site not recognize the irony (or is it hypocrisy) of referring to themselves as anarchist's while bashing a boat for not conforming to their notions of what's conventional. Maybe they decided on "Anarchy" because someone thought it sounded cool and nobody has bothered to look it up.

Careful now, My "Yacht " is a 22 foot Catalina!
I dont know about you....

but I have never turned down an invite to sail on anothers 22 Catalina. Definitely a fun boat!!!!... Had one next to us after a day of sailing at Poulsbo a couple of weeks ago, and I can guarantee you, that couple were having as much fun as we were in those light winds.

2 weeks later we went again, had wind an tides together with us the entire way........ doesnt get much better than that.

In August, I got to sail on 'La Vie Dasante" a :macx: out of Nebraska! Was fun.

I'm still searching for a :macm: The few promising boats with the basic setup I'm wanting and in a price range I can still afford have all been sold. :( I was seriously preparing to place an offer on a pretty 26M named Risa which was a great deal but she was sold just days before I was ready.... So I'm still an unhappy almost-mac owner.

I'm an unhappy former :macm: owner (cause I don't own one right now) - - - I'm going to the Long Beach Boat Show 9/10 - - - and one of the boats I will look at is the new Mac - - - and then on 9/18 we are going up to S. Lake Tahoe to look around at Real Estate and water facilities there - - - and if we like it there and decide to move up there, I will certainly be in the market for another new :macm: - - - - we'll see soon :!:

W&W, you are right. They are fun boats to sail. I would rather still have the Mac X. More space. Just more to store, work on, and maintain.

As for Rick. I didn't mean to broad brush Ricks in general. Ive known a few I could tolerate. Thank heavens none were lawyers.

DOOOH! Did I say that out loud?
