Broken Centerboard cable

Post by sunchaser »

Has anyone ever had thier centerboard cable break after the boat was in the water?? My cable broke and i would like to know if I can fix it without having to pull the boat out of the water. If so what's involved??

Just a hint ...
Search (use the button at top-center) for the word "centerboard" and read the threads dated June 18th and June 8th on your same topic. If you have still more detailed questions, post here again - most everyone will be happy to help. Welcome to Heath's forums!

Just fixed my centerboard cable

Post by mpicanso »

I have a 98 MAC 26X, and just had to replace my broken centerboard cable. I pulled the boat out of the water using a boat lift. It was very easy to fix once it was out of the water, took about 20 min.
