26X Keel Specification

At the New England Trailer Sailors' web site, we received an inquiry from a Mac 26X owner in Turkey who "broke" his centerboard and is unable to purchase a replacement there. It is not clear what is the extent of the damage. He wants to fabricate a new one but does not have the dimensions or specs. Does anybody have a picture, drawing, or other data for a 1998 26X centerboard?

I would suggest he call the factory and simply order a new one. There must be a way to import things into Turkey without a Macgregor dealer being located there. If nothing else maybe contact an import agent in Turkey to see what they would charge to help clear the paperwork. BIll of lading, customs declaration or whatever. Macgregor will of course want to get a certified check before shipping but that is there practice in the USA as well.
If nothing else the factory might send some specs on the board.


Out of curiousity, what happened to the old centerboard that it is not available for measurement?
