Mystery electrical cable on 2004 M26

I recently purchased a "bone stock" 2004 M from a private party, and decided to re-do the electrical system.
Everything has gone well, except that I can't figure out what one pair of cables is. :?

The wiring in question is inside the aft berth and seems to come from the rear of the boat, near the motor. It's a 12 gauge wire pair, that was wired to the 3 way batter switch. It is not the Rear Nav light, I already traced that one down, it's not the main leads from the motor, those cables are much larger, and I have Identified them already. The wire is the same type of wire used throughout the boat so I think it's original, just can't figure out what it's for. I don't see any "extra" lights or other equipment in the rear or in the cockpit that would use this feed. All the equipment on the steering column is powered by a different cable that I have already identified.

I have a Yamaha 60HP motor, would the extra wires be the Alternator feed? I though that power came down the motor's primary (big) cables.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks
Wes T.

My best guess is the motor switch. Turn on the motor and then disconnect it.

My Merc has one. When I turn the batter switch to "OFF" the motor dies.

The other option is the Alt wires.

It could be a dead end as well.

How was it hooked to the battery switch?

So it connects to each battery when you switch the Pelco?

Maybe you could hook up a solar charger/tender to your aft rail or bimini?

Just a suggestion.....

Thanks for the thoughts, I think the cable was connected to the + output of the 1,2,ALL switch, and the - connected to the neg post on the battery. From there it runs under the floor boards to the rear bulkhead, and then up between the fiberglass. Can't find the other end of it. I poked around the wire bundles attached to the motor and can't find the cable!
Does anyone else have a similar cable?

Did you find the wires running to the panal? Orginally this had an inline fuse in it.

On my 05 26M, that 12 ga, two conductor, white sheathed wire is the main feed to the switch panel for interior and exterior lights. It's routed aft under the port berth, then up to behind the port liner, then forward to the back of the switch panel. Unless the P.O. has made other changes, it would be hard to imagine how your int/ext lights can work. It should go to your battery or house battery, with an inline fuse. I don't remember which of the white/black conductors is pos/neg.

I think Hardcrab solved it. They must have been the original power leads to the switch panel. Thanks for the help.
