I have a chance to lend my 2005 26M trailer to a trailerless 26x owner. I know the hulls are shaped somewhat differently but enough at the key contact points to make a difference?

I've only heard they are different.

I suspect the bunks would be positioned differently as the :macm: has a deeper cut "V" and a possibly a wider aft on the :macx: ?

Did you find out anything?

Reason I ask is I have an :macx: and was thinking about buying an aluminum :macm: trailer and fitting the bunks to match my :macx: .

TIA.

With minimal time searching the archives, I came up with this post from the past.

Re: anyone adapted aluminum M trailer to the X? Perhaps you can shoot him an email for more info, or do some more searching?

Easy adaptation. Reduce the ( V ) in the back bunks. The amount of ( V ) is: 3" lower in the middle than a point 2' 6" out from thr middle. Remove the blocks at the middle of the trailer and bolt the boards up directly to the frame. ( V ) block in front is OK as is. Happy trails
