Another flood!

I need help with this problem. My 1998 Yamaha F-50 (with carburators) keeps flooding itself, and I mean FLOOD, the crankcase fills with gas. I've already installed new floats and needle valves, the tanks are ventilated (no pressure build-up), new fuel lines,? Obviously if I remember to dis-connect the fuel line after use, this doesn't happen, but if I forget just once I'll get a flood and have to pull the boat to do an oil change. Not easy without an engine to get it to the trailer!
anybody else have this experience? I'm starting to think "fuel injection ".
