My Admiral complains about the factory cushions in our 26M with some sort of tramatic princess-and-the-pea syndrome. Me? I sleep fine but tend to not stay awake to find out. Anyway, I've driven by a Venture 24 abandoned for the past decade in a storage lot. It finally dissappeared only to find that a coworker had acquired it free so that he could salvage the lead from the keel. He let me plunder it in return for information as to what all the parts were and what he could sell. I went shopping and got all sorts of nifty deck hardware amongst other nautical looking stuff. I almost got a spinaker like the blue/white/green one in Highlander & pegusus videos but my coworker found someone who wanted to buy it so I deferred on that one. I had been trying to find affordable foam in order to beef up the V-berth cushions so jumped at the chance to get V and quarter-berth cushions from the venture for free.
Come to find out--the venture 24 and macgregor 26M's vberth cushions are identical in size!!! My wife cleaned them and is making covers for them out of blue sheets (perhaps so that she can get to sleep faster?) Anyway, neat and affordable find! Thought I'd share.
