OK Matt,

First you leave the marina. Then you turn your boat into a light show pleasure palace. I know you and the admiral are planing to spend weekends on the boat, so I suggest you have a sign posted on the hatch, "If the boat is a rocking, then don't come a knocking :!: " :D

Walmart sells a similar led for under cars that I was considering running in the cockpit. I think they only come in three colours (white, blue, and red) but would give a neat effect sitting around with drinks in uptop in the evening.

Bob I thought about doing that but was concerned about running lights under seats....where the gas is located...they are not very forgiving if there was a spark...even a little one

Matt, I bought those blue led lights also. Haven't installed them yet. They have sticky backing. Pretty cool. I don't know where to put them, but the power draw is nothing and the mood is nice.

I almost considered using white led strips to run up the mast. Wouldn't that look cool?

Eeh. I'll figure out where to install the strips.

Probably safe than sorry. I may use some os these in the cockpit. Hmmmm...the possibilities are great. They are so easy to connect and stick on. A little solder on the points and you are good to go. They even claim to be weatherproof. And a pretty cheap also.

Russ running the lights up the mast would look awesome! My one concern so far is the sticky back tape coming loose over time... it is a 3M tape and they weigh next to nothing so hopefully it is me overthinking the problem...
At Christmas time I purchased led xmas lights to run up the mast and outline of the boat..hoping to participate in a boat parade this year at our new marina...

Well, I *was* going to write 'Does it come in peach?' but I thought some of the more nasty gents amongst you might misinterpret my meaning. Considerably.
