spinnaker rigging

Hi All.Buddy has a spinnaker from a thunderbird 25 we're going to put on my X this summer and give it a whirl. I Assme I need a block on the foot to attatch to the bow, but does this goin the second hole on the bow where the furler attatches? Also do we just use the jib halyard or a dedicated one for the sail. When you gybe it will it not be outside the furled genoa on one tack, and across it on the other? Any thoughts appreciated.Fair winds..Jim in Canada
