Mac Valuation

Post by Neo »

Hi,

I need to get a valuation certificate done for insurance valuation purposes.
I know many valuers will work from photos and descriptions so I thinking that service should be available for a reasonable price.... Does anyone know a good boat valuer I could contact?

All the best.

Sounds like too much hassle. Why not just go with a different insurer that doesn't require the valuation..

My wife works for the same company that we are insured with and receives a generous discount :)
Our Mac was a bargain :) but the insurance company won't insure much beyond that :( (which is way below the replacement value) unless we get a valuation done :?

Many thanks.

What discount you get could be more than eaten up by getting a professional in to value your boat.

I got my X for about 1/2 the going rate and still managed to insure it for $30K plus up to 20% over run ($36K in total) all for $460

The discount would have to be pretty good to beat that

Yes I understand that but that will only be for the fist year. My premium is 25% less than yours so if I can get a reasonably price boat valuer it should be worth it.

All the best.
