My motor will be installed next week and I was wondering where to put the motor gauge. My autopilot is between the top of the pedestal and the steering wheel. If you mount it low you cannot see it. So where is your gauge mounted? The PO had the gauge just laying in the bottom of the steering pedestal.Do I have to build a platform on top of the pedestal to hold it? Thank you for your ideas.

I built a pedestal :P

& it is low & a pain to see. It's behind the steering wheel. But because of the Evinrude Icon system, I can see it on my mfd :)

MFD = Multi Function Display. Most modern chartplotters act as a MFD and can display engine data, radar etc ...

I had to relocate my engine gauge when I installed the autopilot to make room for the drive motor. Mounted everything in a used Navpod I got off ebay.. Ram mount is for a tablet running charts
