Has anyone changed the base plate on a Mac 26 that rotates to a non rotating mast. If so, how was it done

How does this affect sailing? Also Terry in BC has a slick setup for rotating his last when it doesn't cooperate (check mods or posts for pics, pretty sure there's a few on here) I just give the boom a quick shake after a tack.bdailjr wrote:Using halyards aft towards cockpit causes the mast to rotate to port when using it.
Sounds like the routing of the halyard may be too far aft? Could also try upgrading the mast bearings to help a smooth rotationkurz wrote:My mast turns in the same way with halyards lead to cockpit bevore and after the mod.
Means in light winds no rotation, in a good brease normal rotation.
