This is a great website for accessing real time weather forecasts, for about $5 per year you can join and get the pop up free version.

With a laptop cellphone card, you get access to weather radar on your boat.

I just found a really neat feature for planning My Chesapeake trip - a weather almanac which tells me historical wind and temperature conditions on my route. You can also test your estimate of wind conditions against measured conditions too!

Sure agree that this site should be added as one of your weather favorites. I did note that the 'live' storm path feature seems to be free evenings and weekends, and on some sort of a fee basis weekdays. We also seemed to get a few more pop-ups etc. after visits. Still, a great addition...we check several and ...then look outside to see what is really happening!

Firefox with the AdBlock extension pretty much takes care of all annoyances at Weather Undergound . . .

I use Intellicast. Works nice. No popups.

My Cast (http://www.my-cast.com/ ) also offers and excellent service for 3.95 a month available through ATT Wireless, Alltel, Cingular, Midwest Wireless, Nextel, Southern LINC, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. My Cast has very detailed radar loops by zip code, as well as IR imagery, etc.
