Gelcoat match.

Post by Ixneigh »

FYI
The fasco resin pigment white, beige and a little yellow can come very very close to matching the inside Gelcoat. This can be used with clear epoxy resin or polyester resin to make your own Gelcoat. I could get it to within the range of faded or new gelcoat color. Some parts of my boat have faded a little, like where the main hatch is. Some parts have not faded. I matched the non faded area. I’m quite happy with the results. It’s very nearly right on.
Blurwater yachts does sell the matching Gelcoat by the quart but the stuff will only keep so long and I don’t think I’d use a whole quart before it went bad. The pigments will probably last indefinitely. Now I can use a paste epoxy to fill the holes and things from past accessories.

I’d
