Running a cable from the 26M pedestal to the transom???

I hope I am not duplicating "How to install the Garmin-178C cable in the pedestal?" but the link is not coming up when clicked on.

My question is how can I run a cable from the 26M pedestal back through to the transom area? I want to mount my GPS to the pedestal and connect it to an external antenna mounted on a pole aft.

Is there a channel that a fish tape can be pulled through?

Plus, I need to run 12v from the battery to the pedestal. Is there a channel for that or do I have to run it over the liner's surface?

Thanks.

Randy,
follow the stearing cables. getting out through the hull to the mast support arch will be the most difficult part of the job.

good luck

I have run the wires for the GPS (garmin 168), wire from the gps to the vhf (above galley-04 location), and 12v power to the pedestal. It was pretty easy. I was able to pull the 12v and signal wire through easily. The garmin pigtail was too big to fit among the wires and cables, so I cut the connector off, ran the wire, then reconnected it.

I followed the cables to the transom, and wherever else it needed to go (fusebox, vhf, etc).

Pretty easy. Except for the part of running wires to the space above the galley.
