While the rest of the country seems to be in a heat wave, I got a little bit of snow during my sail yesterday here in Idaho. In late June!
Was a good day though! Lots of shifting winds, but just about tied my sailing speed record on this boat. I believe 6.45 is hull speed for the 26M. I had 6.2 at one point yesterday
We woke up to similar cold temps here in SW Montana while the rest of the country is seeing 100+ temps.
I think I broke your speed record once with about 7.2 with a heavy wind at our backs, genny only. It was fun trying to bring in that sail. Have a few scars on the boat as a reminder.
Brrrrr! Snow? June? That’s not right!?! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
It’s been 90F here in SC for the past month!
Please forward some of that cooler weather over here!
It would be really appreciated!
Hey! Those are some impressive speeds!
That must have been fun!

What kind of scars? What happened??
Turned the boat into the wind to furl the genny back in and the wind was whipping the sheets violently. The genoa uses the track cam cleats on the cowling track. They were flopping around so hard they bent and started whacking fiberglass next to the track chipping it (leaving scars).
Way too much wind. It was behind us and we were flying until it was time to stop.
