Anyone out there ever mount a pair of transon eyes for towing watersport toys?
I have a couple of kidz and they like to tube and kneeboard, Previously I've attached the tow harness to the stern rails but it comes into conflict with the rudders there.
Any recommendations of ideal placement would be appreciated before I drill holes..
Thanks ... Paul T.

I was thinking of ataching to the rear stanchions. I'm dissapointed to learn that doesn't work.

Metrognome,
I placed two padeyes on the transom of my X. They are located under the rub rail on each side. Here is a link to a picture where I put them. I weigh 210 and I have waterskiied behind the boat with them installed. I hope that helps. Oh, I also placed a piece of 1/8th inch aluminum behind the padeyes to spread the load. Any questions just ask. Happy sails, Tony

TonyH. Thanks for your reply, I checked out your photos, didn't realize the transom was thicker in places, haven't looked deeply into it yet.
So you ski behind your boat, I haven't yet , I just pull the kidz.
What size motor do you have? I weigh the same and would be surprised that my 50hp could pull me on skis.
Thanks again..PaulT.

Paul,
I have a Nissan 50. It works fine to pull me up but like more and more of this board, I will upgrade to a Suzuki 140 one of these days. Happy sails, Tony
