Hey Duane - did you stop at Orcas or Lopez?

Hi Duane:

We're spending 8 days in the San Juans this summer on one of our trips. Did you stop at Orcas or Lopez Island last year?

We actually went around Orcas but never set foot on it. Our stops last year were Cornet Bay (Deception Pass), Blakley Island Marina, Sucia, and Roche Harbor. We had planned to stay at Jones Is but instead spent a second day in Roche. The final planned stop was Spencer Spit on Lopez, but when we got there the weather didn't look promising so we just continued back in through Deception Pass and pulled out a day early.

There are still many more years worth of cruising in the San Juans and the Gulf Islands for us. These are all easy trips to make in a week or two. This year we have the rare opportunity to go out for 3 to 4 weeks so we are going to by pass all the close stuff and focus on Jervis and Desolation Sound. We can do the San Juans any time.

Weve got an eight day trip up there and I think we'll stop at Orcas and Lopez this time!!
