V-Berth Dimensions

Post by Jedaro »

We are heading to Lake Simcoe next week to pick up our 26X for a 4-5 week sail and motor to the 30000 Islands-Georgian Bay and Back to Lake Ontario-Kingston and the 1000 islands by July 1. My wife would like to sew sheets for the V-Berth. Does anyone have the dimensions for the 26X berth.
Thanks
Mike Purdy

Sounds like a great trip Mike!!! Hopefully you'll share your tales with the rest of us when you get back! Sorry...don't know the dimensions...

Measured last night. From the front of the bow straight down the middle is 67 on the short pad and 6 even on the long pad. Together they are 5 even across at the top. Good luck.

V Berth Dimensions Thank You

Thanks to Timmy Z
Thanks for taking the time to measure the V-Berth. Now we will have fitted sheets for the berth for our trips and hopefully one (me usually) will not get entangled in the covers. We did a 24" extender last year so that our toes did not v into the bow. (Hey we've been married more than 35 years so now it's a hassle, not romantic or something like that!) It was just a 24 " laminated book shelf that was 3' long. Did it ever change the sleeping confort. Now we leave the bed set up during our sailing or cruising days with our clothes in rubbermaid containers on top. Sure does keep the rearranging of the boat in the mornings and evenings under control.
Thanks again
