Really unhappy that you locked Mike Inmon's post re: furling main. If I could get a furling main modification for my 2002 X for a reasonable price...would buy it in a minute! Regardless if Mike's post is promoting a retail product...I believe there are many, many on this site that would be very, very interested. Have been watching this issue and really want this info.

I did a quick google on "furling main" and there are quite a few after market add-ons out there, I won't list them or link. It would seem that this is not a new science, but it sure seems to be innovative here. As I have said before, I would be interested because as I age I like toys that make sailing easier and convenient.

I am sorry to have bent the rules. I will try, but remember that I am a blabbermouth.
The option is not for sale for aftermarket yet. Not by me or by other dealers. When or if, it will be on my website and I'll try not to put it here. I totally agree with moderator, I was wrong.
If this is Ok ... Roller Reefing Main is one of three things being worked on at this time. The self tacking jib, a new roller reefing jib system and the XXXX.

I concur with all of the above. I know there are other mainsail roller furlers available, but not being an engineer of any type, I would prefer a setup that had been installed and fully tested on a 200? 26X by people who know the boat inside and out with all its quirks than to order one from elsewhere and get a roller furler adapted froM a Catalina 25 that might need to be cut down or otherwise adapted along with a box of 50 extra pieces with a note on the build instuctions that "some pieces might apply to a 26X and some might not, figure it out".

Sorry, the roller reefing main might never be available for the X due to the raked mast. This roller depends on a 90 degree angle from the boom! Will work on that next but does not look good.

Mike,
Not to worry, When your first one is sold for an X or M, there will be people all over on here touting its advantages..
And the advantage is (at least as I see it) is that while you are developing, you just have to delineate that it is in development, and you can post vids and pics....
Once it is commercial, than you have to have others sing your praises.....
(have I got that right Frank? Stephen, et al???)

All of Heath's Supporting Dealers have clearly created powerful goodwill, evident by their frequent customer references in these pages ... Inmon Yachts, likewise. Mike demonstrated today that he's also a gentleman, by his above concessions to Heath's principles of Dealer equity. He has also requested information regarding joining as a website Supporter.
Thank you, Mike.
No dealers, whether supporters or not, can currently promote their products or services here, other than with Banners or Classified. That means, We DO NOT currently have a formula to properly (and fairly) support Product Development, which inevitably creates promotional capital. This forum-concept is under discussion, not yet "in design."

while granting that's perhaps not too realistic.) |

OK the first two sound good, but what is a triple X rated X ? I tried to look it up but kept getting side tracked by free messy gooey.... well you get the idea. So can I get enought to make my M rated R?

Needless to say, I was concurring with the three posts above mikelinmon's post. He and I must have been typing our replies at the same time but he posted first. Sorry, if that was not clear.
