Tomorrow marks our 33rd wedding anniversary.

I know there are Mac-friends out in Mac-land that have wracked up a larger number, and congrats to you all, but, I am happy for us ( me and the admiral) because marriage takes work, and when it works, it's very good. 8)

Congrats Ray

Everything good is worth working hard for.

After 33 in the bank, you obviously have it "mostly" figured out. :|

Any tips for us rookies, as I have half as much "time served" as you do.

Congratulations to you both!

 Now let's see, I believe they say that the traditional gift for the 30th is Pearls (not sure how that fits a Mac), and the 35th is Coral (I reckon they must mean a sailing trip to a tropical reef) ... nothing is listed for the years in between, so is 33 electronics, canvas work, wax and polish, or trailer hardware? The 40th is "Ruby" so I figure that must be the name of the bigger boat you get buy at the 40 year point!

Cheers!

- Andy

Just got back from a great weekend in NYC.

Thanks guys.

Cat, when I'm 91 I hope to thank you again 8)
Waternwaves, It wasn't me as much as her. If Jews had saints, she would be one for putting up with me :D
beene, when I really get it figured out, I'll let you know :)
Louis, you too Bro :)
Andy, you are so close. We already are thinking about plans for the 35th. A cruise around South America. Does that count as tropical reef? Not in the Mac :!: Aboard Royal Caribbean or Celebrity.
John, you tease :P that's a sore point. You know that back in Aug. I did not get my bottles. :x I hope to get luckier in April.
Kevin, I saw that pic of you in your all white groom suit :o How can she resist anyone man enough to wear that for his love. :), or was it the car :?:

Thanks again guys.

Congratulations!!

Relationships are a lot like being at sea. . . some time for relaxation with periods of smooth sailing, all mixed in with the full range of weather from sunny days to the maelstroms.

A lot of work indeed.

Here's to many more!

Congradulations Ray,

The Admiral and I will be going on 22 years. I've learned a lot and have to remind myself that a relationship takes effort, but the return is well worth it.

Let's put it this way... between the suit and the heat, I could'a sold a lot of ice cream that day.

(BTW, Ray, that photo was taken at the little wedding chapel, where we were married, over on Rt. 463 near 152 (Limekiln Pk.)... it's on the right as you're headed up to Montgomeryville, just past the clock made of flowers.)

In many Orthodox communities, particularly Haredi and Chasidic communities, they believe in tzadikkim (righteous ones or saints to use the Christian term). There are reportedly thirty-six tzadikkim at any single time and these thirty-six righteous tzadikkim are the reason God does not destroy the world.

So for me, please thank her - she possibly could be one thirty-sixth of the reason I may get to go home and kiss my wife and hug my kid tonight. Only God knows who the 36 are. :) :) :).

Way to go Ray and THE Admiral.

There are lots of postings on this board about prop sizes, hull speeds due to paint color and other subjects. Nothing is more important than family. 33 years is a super accomplishment.

So if we were to email the Admiral, what would she say about how she kept you in line???? :)
