I just bought a well equipped '01 26x w/70 hp Suzuki and all lines carried aft.
I have worries about sailing solo as I only have decent use of 2 fingers and my thumb on my left hand and my back is really limited.

Aside from that is there any specific info from nearby sailors about what bottom paint I want and where to get it applied?
I am in Port Angeles Wa. and am planning on docking at John Wayne marina and hope to keep it in all season, The boat was only sailed '02-03 and has never had bottom paint and was hauled after every sail and spray washed so the bottom is pretty much perfect. I have been keeping up on the groups but so much of the info seems to be regional that I am a bit overwhelmed and really don't want to screw up my boat the first time I paint it.

In another note is there someone out here on the peninsula that I could hire for a hands on rigging lesson / maybe some hands on ?

Thx Art

same here.

I've considered adding a support railing to fit just below the boom, extending from about the end of the cabin to about 1-2 feet beyond(forward), the mast.

ESPECIALLY on boats like the MacGregor, which have no side-deck and require that a person actually climb on top the cabin-roof to go forward.
