Right on Jim I fly an A320.....seems many of us pilots are sailors.....seems like a natural to us I guess.

I think navionics supplies chart data to other companies like raymarine etc....but dont quote me on it.

I would think if you had a waterproof case for an ipad that would be ultimate!!

Its true the navionics app does not require cell phone signal as the info is downloaded onto the phone and the GPS does not require cell signals at least on the iphone 3gs and 4. The cell phone signal only helps the GPS get updated faster. By the way these navionics charts are true marine charts in ...

I also have an app called Anchor alert......lets you know with an alarm if you drift off a specified amount with an alarm. It was $3.99 awesome!!

Just use the Navionics app on the iphone......awesome!!

Would be even better on an ipad I'm sure.

So Baldbaby2000 do you notice any difference in the sailing with only 55lbs added?

Any issues with it fitting into the trunk in the boat?

Hi RussMT your bimini looks pretty good. I will look into the Dowsar one. When it is folded back out of the way can you still sit on the stern seats? Did you get the "large" bimini from BWY? Did you also get your dodger from BWY? Were they easy to install? Did you know what boat stands for...

I've seen some pictures of bimini's that get taller behind the boom for standing room but dont know where to get on unless they are custom?
