Re: different m models
Oh no, I think I have seen someone trying to compare :macx: and :macm: previously on this Board? :D The M mast is more than one meter higher, at the same time as the boom is half a meter lower. That is why the M also have more water ballast. The X is flat underneath. Have you seen any other flat sai...

Re: Tow Vehicle: V-8 or V-6?
The white blue hull debate is hereby ended. I think you got it all wrong. The dude in the picture is so convinced about the superiority of blue hulls, that he actually decided to tie a blue car to his white keel, hoping to increase speed. Not really that stupid, looks like he can sell his trailer o...

Re: Tow Vehicle: V-8 or V-6?
I was even more curious, and this tow bar uses 4 total bolts to the car. The diagram of the Bosal bar has 8 total bolts to the car. So, where are the extra bolts going to? Different chassis? I got curious too.... The Bosal shall be fastened with 4 bolts to 4 exisiting weldnuts in the "frame pr...

Re: Tow Vehicle: V-8 or V-6?
The American CRV has a max tow capacity of 680kg. Wouldn't do it with the US branded CRV. That is very interesting. The European sold CR-V's are produced in GB, actually Swindon, I think. But the CR-V should pretty much be the same everywhere around the world, unlike the Accord that I know for sure...

Re: Price for sail repair upgrade??
Problem is Judy B and most other inexpensive sailmakers in the states don't ship to OZ I live in Norway, and used to face the same problem every once in a while. Lots of shops in the US does not ship international. But I found a shipping agency With a mailbox service in US. I now order like every o...

Re: The new Tattoo
The original trailer without brakes that came With my M-boat, is not road legal in Norway. So I replaced it With similar trailer to the picture shown underneath: http://finncdn.no/mmo/2012/11/vertical-5/07/8/370/501/48_112272234.jpg And I pull With a Honda CR-V diesel, that is allowed to pull 2 tons...

Honda CR-V with diesel is allowed to pull 2000kg. More than enough for a
with package on a suitable trailer.

In Europe, these boats are being sold under the brand Odin.
Appears to be built in Poland. Some other boats from Eastern Europe does not meet the west european quality expectations, so I guess that is why the Odin does not reach the same market share that MacGregor has, even here in Europe.

Glazed piston rings and cylinder linings also happen on two-strokes, if they don't receive some punishment from time to time. Obviously, they don't start to produce oil, though.

Re: A Heady Proposal New 26M w/ no way out.
In my :macm: , I have a Jabsco manual pump seawater toilet with hose to a opening out from hull... Works great, no hassle. Sometimes, docking in harbours or using the boat as a RV on trailer, I have thought of putting a waste tank into the boat. The easiest solution would be to install a Y-valve on ...

Re: Brakes not dis-engaging -- VERY hot!!!
In Europe, hydraulic trailer brakes are not allowed. Calipers and disks are not used at all. Drumbrakes with shoes operated by wire is the standard. http://jydekrog.dk/Resources/Files/Alko%20brems%20200x50.jpg On boat trailers, a standard water hose coupling is often added to the wheel hub for flush...
